How to get and activate a Curve card
To get started, you'll need to download the Curve App from the iTunes app store or Google Play and then register for an account. Here you will need to enter some simple details and sign up for your new Curve card. Your physical card usually arrives within 4-5 working days from the submission of your details.
Once your card arrives in the post, you'll be able to link your standard credit and debit cards by entering details of each account to your Curve app or taking a photo of your card and then choose which ones your payments will be taken from each time you make a purchase.
How to use a Curve card
Curve cards are provided by MasterCard so you can use it in any retailer or for online payments where you see the MasterCard logo.
When signing up you will have the choice of earning cashback from over 60 well-known brands such as Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Tesco, Amazon, Netflix, McDonald's, Burger King and Shell. Each time you use your card with your chosen retailers, the cashback you earn is added into a section of your Curve card app called Curve Cash. You can make use of these earnings and spend them at any point by selecting it as an option from within the app.
For those that opt-in for the free account (Curve Blue), you will be able to choose up to 3 retailers and earn cashback for the first 90 days of you activating your account. If you choose Curve Black, you will also be able to earn cashback from 3 retailers but have no time limit on how long you can earn, whereas Curve Metal customers can earn cashback from up to 6 retailers with no time limit whilst also receiving additional benefits such as increased amounts for fee-free foreign ATM withdrawals to phone and travel insurance.
Adding loyalty cards to your Curve Account
Most high street stores and online retailers such as Tesco, Boots & Starbucks provide loyalty cards to reward customers with offers and personalised discounts. Carrying all these cards around with you can be a pain, so Curve have revolutionised this by creating the ability to add these to your account.
All you need is a barcode or a loyalty card number and then follow the simple steps to add it.
